This is just a little blog for those of you who are interested in keeping up with the Jones :)
As you know Andy and me have just got engaged :) and I have had at least a zillion texts/emails/facebooks from you all asking details :) its ages til we get married so this will also give me some room to rattle off all my weddingy thoughts witout driving everyone to distraction :)
Here are the answers to the FAQ's :)
1, Are you pregnant? LMAO ok only one person asked this but I think I better clear up that I'm not expecting:)
2, How did he ask? :) get butterfies just thinking of it! For a few weeks he buit up that I might be allowed to open a present on xmas eve if I was good..Being clueless y main guess was hello kitty pjs as i love going to bed in new pjs on xmas eve..n its something we did as kids..on the day itself he took me into the back room at home, sat me down and gave me a me2u box, he said dont get excited its nothing amazing just a little..etc..i was thinking this is no pj shaped lol! I opened the box to find a me 2 u bear with i love you this much embroidered on it, also attached to the bear there was a read heart shaped box..i thought oh..maybe thats part of the bear..but maybe its a box..i looked from bear to andy afew times before realising he was getting down on one knee (very smoothly following practising in his office lol!). He looked at me really shyly and said, 'now I have to ask you, will you marry me?' it felt like the whole room was spinning..i think i probably would have fainted if i wasnt sat down! but I had to ruin the moment..but saying the first thing that came into my head..'Are you joking??' :D..I couldn't believe it was real..i looked at him and could see he wasn't so quickly revised my answer to a very tearful yes..we stayed in the room for afew mins..Its silly but I was frightened if Istepped out it wouldn't be true anymore..and I really wanted it to be true...my family were waiting outside with champagne and party poppers :)
I ran screaming at Mary..and the rest is a blur of very squeeky phonecalls from everyone to everyone :)
It was amazing :) I woke 3 times that night to check he teddy and ring were still there!And I'm only just starting to beieve it now that we've found some venues to visit! I am the luckiest girl in he universe to be spending the rest of my life with him :)
3, what is the ring like? pretty!! TBH I couldn't care less if it was a haribo gummy..the bloke is whats important :) but its a bonus that its beautiful :) for those of u that like the technical bits its a 1/3rd carat princess cut solitaire diamond set in white gold..luckily not lost yet!
4, Are you having an engagement party? Nope..we have been to some really lovely ones but its not really our thing. Andy had the idea of taking our families out for a carvery which should be fun :) We will have lots of time to celebrate with you all at the big day which we'e hoping will be the first or second weekend in September 2010 :)
Hopefully the rest of the blog entries wont be quite so cheesey :) sorry guys cant help it atm:)
